Meet The Staff
The leadership team at The Vine is a strong group of committed individuals who love God, and serve the Lord by using their talents to minister to His people.
Mike DeLong: Teacher/Singer
Mike has been with The Vine since its inception. Initially, Mike was the Minister to Students and the worship leader; currently he is the lead Minister. Mike is the primary teacher on Sunday mornings and occasionally leads the worship band. He provides leadership and guidance with the Board of Directors and oversees the daily operations of the church. In addition to Mike’s pastoral duties within the church, he also offers counseling throughout the week at his home office. Mike has three beautiful children: Ethan, Zoe and Deacon.
Anthony Cook: Associate Minister
Anthony has been a devoted member on The Vine for over 10 years, in that time he has served as Trustee, Youth director, Deacon and Small groups director. Anthony has a undergraduate degree from Florida Christian College and a master's degree in marriage and family counseling from Stetson university. Anthony is married to Sarah and has three children: Jayden, Layla, and Xavier.
Sarah Cook: Minister to Children
Sarah has also been a member of The Vine since she was in High School. She is a graduate of Osceola high school and holds a BS degree in education from Florida Christian College. Sarah has been a teacher in Osceola county where she taught kindergarten for several years. She is married to Anthony and has three children: Jayden, Layla, & Xavier.
Jared Stewart: Youth Minister
Jared has been a member of The Vine Church for the past 5 years. After attending the University of Florida for a year, he transferred to Belhaven College where he completed his bachelor's degree in Business Administration. Jared is a PE teacher at Reedy Creek Elementary in Kissimmee. He has volunteered in both the children and student ministries at The Vine Church for several years and is now focusing on our middle school aged students. Jared is an avid reader and poet who loves sports, classic movies, and camping.
Arcena Thomas: Administrative Director
Arcena has been serving as Secretary at The Vine since July of 2005 and attending since 1999. She is a graduate of Osceola High School and The University of Central Florida, but ironically is a die-hard Gator football fan. In addition to her duties as Secretary, Arcena serves on the Fellowship Committee and as official “unofficial” church babysitter. Arcena is married to Bret who is also very involved at The Vine, serving in the band, with graphic design, and wherever else extra hands are needed. They have no children yet, just a very spoiled puppy named Sydney.
