Philippians 4:6-7 tells us, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Peace is promise if we stop worrying and trust God with the outcome. Hard to do! BUT we can ask (pray) that the Lord Himself - the author and finisher of our faith - will enable us in this.

An abbreviated Weekly Prayer Focus is available on the back table every Sunday. Details and updates are emailed to the Intercessory Prayer Team. Any who would commit to a daily time of prayer for others is welcome to join our team.
Prayer Ministry Team Overview
The service goal of the Prayer Ministry Team is to partner with God to provide and model the following prayer outlets for The Vine as the Lord leads us in a trifold approach to a more intimate and regular dependence on Him in prayer. • An Altar Prayer Team consisting of trained, mature believers who will be available during worship services to minister to those coming forward for salvation, healing, intercession or any other spiritual need. They will also prayerfully prepare the holy elements of the Lord's Supper and clean up after. Altar Team members will act as the core Prayer Team Committee and meet monthly for a brief time to brainstorm needs, focus and management of the trifold Prayer Ministry Team.
• An Intercessory Prayer Team consisting of anyone who will commit to a daily time of prayer for others. Their prayer time may be short or long and at any time of day. They will receive weekly prayer focus guides and are encouraged to pray also as the Spirit of God leads. Everyone willing to commit is invited to join.
• A Pre-Service Prayer Team whose members will come together before worship services to pray over the facilities in a prayer walk and/or meet as a prayer group to pray over the ministry and all those who help The Vine operate. This team is also asked to be in daily private prayer for our church body, ministry and facilities. Everyone is invited to join.

Altar Prayer Team Focus
In addition to serving at the altar, members of the Altar Prayer Team pray over, prepare and reverently clean up the elements of the Lord's Supper. We are humbled and honored to accept this sacred duty.
Intercessory Team Prayer Focus
How thankful we are for each person on the Intercessory Prayer Team! We have grown to over 50 members. As we have gone to two services, our united prayers help form a special bond keeping us connected and involved with one another.
We will all be amazed at what God does as we join forces in a concert of prayer. One example can be found in the wonderful book, Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire by Pastor Jim Cymbala is the true story of what God did when his floundering church began to really pray.
A Few Prayer Tips:
- It is good start our prayer times with an offering of praise.
- Many people stay more focused by praying out loud.
- Some people find it helps to set a certain time or place for Intercessory Prayer.
- Ask God to bring prayer to your mind several times a day. He will do it!
- Don't forget to pray for your fellow Intercessors daily.
At present, we have only four members of the Pre-Service Prayer Team. Three who are doing prayer walks and praying together before the service, and one, Scott Vicari who prays for the building and grounds as he works on them, which is often and long! We are praying God will touch hearts and send us more Team prayers!
