Do your best to improve your faith. You can do this by adding goodness, understanding, self-control, patience, devotion to God, concern for others, and love. But if you don't grow, you are like someone who is nearsighted or blind, and you have forgotten that your past sins are forgiven.

So, dear brothers and sisters, work hard to prove that you really are among those God has called and chosen. Do these things, and you will never fall away.
